With NANUK’s exclusive locking and latching system, your case stays shut and secured until you are ready to open it.

For extra security, two latches feature an integrated TSA-accepted key lock to keep your equipment securely locked during transit but accessible for inspection by the TSA when required. This indestructible MIL-Spec case is equipped with a lid stay feature to keep the case safely open when in use and the reinforced stainless-steel eyelets can be used to secure additional padlocks.

For extra security, two latches feature an integrated TSA-accepted key lock to keep your equipment securely locked during transit but accessible for inspection by the TSA when required.

Great case. Only downside is that the cutouts I received are for the takedown shotguns and not AR platform. Simple mistake. Just trying to see if anyone wants it

Order placed on 3/30/22 , received a tracking # first week in April that doesn't work and as of 4/21/22 I'm still awaiting the case.

Best rifle case for the money hands down.

I looked at every case out there and did my homework before selecting the NANUK 985 AR 15 Case. I was looking for a durable hard case specifically to safely and securely store my AR 15 and the accessories I have for it, I was not looking for a case to hold multiple rifles or my pistols.

Seems like most case manufacturers want to turn buying a case into Thanksgiving, Most expecting you to whip out an electric carving knife and a Sharpie to "custom fit" their case to your gun. They then have you use a spray can to seal the cut edges of the foam to keep them from breaking down. While some of you may like the sound of that, I know what my results would be... lack luster and jagged at best then look like complete amateur crap in the end.

The clean precut foam compartments in the NANUK case are well thought out. The gun compartment accommodates most AR15 rifles with the most popular attachments and furniture including room for most optics, grips, rails, and forward sights meaning you don't have to remove attachments to stow your gun. There is room to hold up to 8 - 30rd magazines as well as storage compartments for most accessories including ear & eye protection, cleaning supplies, slings, tools, and manuals/paperwork.

I would like Nanuk to consider the following improvements to make this case even better than it already is...

1 - Consider adding texture to the outside of the case something like the Samsonite luggage texture. This will help with concealing accidental marring, scratches, and scuffs that are certain to occur with transporting the case.

2 - Consider including the foam removed for the rifle and storage compartments within the case. That way if the rifle or storage compartments are too big, deep, or long the case owner can use those foam pieces to customize the case to fit their needs.

For the money and my needs, the Nanuk 985 AR15 case is the perfect solution. I like the case so much I purchased a second case to store my AR15 Pistol. Well done Nanuk!!! Awesome 1st class customer service experience!!!

Great case well engineered

Got a small one first like it and then when I got a big one I was impressed at the engineering that went into it only thing that was a little down side was the lid foam pad could have been a little thicker but it’s still great cases

Top quality product

I've owned several firearms cases and this appears to be the best. Sturdy construction, integral TSA lock, space for other locks. The pre-cut foam fits my rifle perfectly. If it had wheels, it would be perfect.

Another Awesome Nanuk Case

I already had Nanuk cases for my pistol as well as all my camera equipment, so it just made sense to me to get one for my AR. It's incredibly well built, I prefer their Powerclaw latches over competitor's latches, and their customer service is awesome. Not to mention I love that I can support a Canadian company!

985 AR15

I currently own the 990 and although it is a great case it’s too long for the trunk and therefore, need to lay it in the backseat. The 985AR15 fits nicely in the trunk of my car. I currently own 4 Nanuk Cases and various accessories, I’m definitely a happy customer. The customer service provided by David and the speedy delivery makes Hard Cases one company that truly understands their customer.
